Job Description:
- Sells and services Lincoln and Omaha hotel, restaurant, and institutional customers. Role expectations require achieving or exceeding budgeted sales projections. This position also Introduces new product lines and prepares and distributes pricing information and excels at customer service.
Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Services local hotels, restaurants, and institutions by selling Omaha Steaks Foodservice products visiting these establishments, as necessary. Conducting weekly prospecting calls and appointments. Negotiates prices within established parameters and handles customer service and quality issues.
- Sets and achieves or exceeds the budgeted sales and margin objectives following sales and marketing plans with cooperation and approval of Area sales Manager.
- Accurately prepares orders and inputs into system for Order Assembly department for delivery.
- Samples and demonstrates new products to current and prospective customers. Following up to convert sales and reporting results to Local Sales Manager.
- Prepares weekly price lists for distribution to customers based on price changes.
- Research's competition and reports information to Local Sales Manager.
- Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 2-year college degree in sales/ marketing, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years food service, center of the plate or meat sales preferred. Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies used in the food industry. Knowledge of Omaha Steaks Foodservice product line and terminology is beneficial.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and listening skills.
- Ability to successfully sell to customers consistently.
- Exhibits a team member mentality.
Schedule Requirements:
- This is a full-time position. Please plan to work approximately 40 hours per week.
